In view of the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, the Joint Admission Matriculation Examination, JAMB has advocated media presence to ensure transparency in the exercise.
The Computer-based Test (CBT) examination would commence March 9 in every state of the federation and end 19th of the same month.
He commended media activities in the nation, their devotion to the discharge of duty, importantly, news reporting and dissemination. He considers it as a pivotal tool to good governance.
Benjamin said “We are starting our UTME tomorrow and in our policy of inclusiveness, we want to carry people along, because we want to run a transparent system and we have nothing to hide.
“We invite all Nigerians, particularly the media to participate and see what we are doing; examination is all about trust, so we are opening the platform for everybody to see what we do.
Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Head of Media, made the call on Thursday during a courtesy call to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
