FIFA has opened a disciplinary investigation into Argentina following the heated altercation that erupted after Spain defeated the South American side 1-0 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
The world football governing body said its disciplinary committee had appointed a disciplinary and ethics prosecutor to investigate the incidents that unfolded immediately after the final whistle at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
