Nigeria’s Consumer Confidence Dips To -28.20

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has reported that Consumer Confidence in Nigeria dwindled to -28.20 in the third quarter of 2016 from -24.20 in the second quarter of 2016.

Consumer Confidence in Nigeria averaged -8.57 in 2008 until 2016, with an all time high of 6.38 in the first quarter of 2011 and a record low of -28.20 in the third quarter of 2016.

Recall that the nation’s Consumer Confidence Index, CCI, had plunged by 4.9 per cent in the first quarter of 2016. This was according to report released on Wednesday, May 25,2016, by the NOIPolls.

The report showed that consumer confidence fell to 59.9-points in Q1, 2016 when compared with 64.8-points obtained in Q4, 2015.
