FCTA Set to Inject N1million Into GGSS Abaji Agric Project

The Federal Capital City Administration, FCTA, has pledged to invest the sum of N1million into the agricultural project of the Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Abaji being championed by the President/CEO of the Amazing Amazons Explorers, Vanessa Edzuwah and her group.

The Permanent Secretary, FCTA, Dr Babatope Ajakaiye made this known at the reception organized in his honor by the school to commemorate the entrepreneurship award won at the Junior Achievement African Regional International final in Libreville, Gabon, last year.

Ajakaiye lauded the FCT Secondary Education Board (FCT-SEB) for initiative which has seen young Nigerians make a bold statement in their entrepreneurial drive in Africa and the world.

He however urged the Amazon Amazons Explorers quartet comprising Vanessa Edzuwah, Tayo Jane-Frances, Idoko Mercy and Adeoruju Abosede not to relent in their efforts to promote agriculture while promising that the FCTA will give maximum support to the project titled “The Farmers Market.”

The Director FCT-SEB, Hajiya Rakiya Daniya, while appealing to the FCTA for continuous support on entrepreneurial programmes said her board will not relent in its efforts to promote the culture of amongst all SEB schools.

Chairman Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya promised to provide the necessary support for the success of the programme.

GGSS Abaji has won awards in The Junior Achievement (JAN) and Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) programmes in Nigeria and abroad.
