The CEO Roundtable βeta Summit is here again. Intellectual ,entrepreneurial and entertaining fireworks will come off at the main auditorium of the University of Lagos,tomorrow, Friday 24th June, 2016.

The summit which began as a radio show four years ago is now a platform where CEOs of top industries and entrepreneurs are invited to educate, encourage and facilitate the dreams of budding entrepreneurs.

It is a programme that encourages budding entrepreneurs, connecting them to the knowledge base and experience of CEOs and captains of industries. It provides room for copious discussion of various issues: from business strategies to employee development, investing and venture financing.

The Summit which debuted last year, has this year’s theme as: “Out of the Box: DARE to Succeed” and will feature guest speakers and captains of industries.

It will be headlined by His Excellency, Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo and His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

Other speakers include : CEO, CHISCO Group of Companies,Chief (Dr.) Chidi Anyaegbu MFR;  CEO, OMATEK Ventures Plc, Engr. (Mrs.) Florence Seriki; CEO, Lady Mechanic Initiative,Engr. (Mrs.) Sandra Aguebor; Former MD GSK West Africa, Mr. Reuben Onwubiko and many others.

Entertainment crooners and voice sensations like Joel, Faze and Owen Gee will be present to thrill participants with soul serenading performances.

In a phone interview with Bizwatchnigeria, the convener, Ayoola Babington-Ashaye stated that the vision of the summit was to provide a public platform for industry leaders and young entrepreneurs to discuss pragmatic ways of driving the nation’s economy.

Speaking further, he said the summit will help provide training and mentoring of upcoming entrepreneurs, especially as a lot of youths tend to always look for white collar jobs.

Babington-Ashaye revealed: “the summit’s goal is to encourage youths to look inward and tap into that entrepreneurial power within them. It also targets the working class to challenge them to think outside the box and develop their entrepreneurial skills, especially at a time like this when a lot of companies are downsizing.”

He concluded that the theme for this year and its speakers were carefully selected to challenge young business owners to aim for the best while staying profitable in economic downturns.
