Main Story
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Wednesday, August 5, 2026, for the commencement of the 2026 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course, with the exercise scheduled to run across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory until Tuesday, August 25.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu. According to the NYSC, prospective corps members can now access their Call-up Numbers through their individual dashboards, while Call-up Letters will be uploaded subsequently.
The scheme said the three-week orientation programme would hold simultaneously at all accredited orientation camps nationwide.
“Accordingly, Call-up Numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective Corps Members, while Call-up Letters will be made available in due course,” Caroline Embu, Director of Information and Public Relations, NYSC, said in the statement.
NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated all prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch B Stream II service year on completing their studies in higher institutions within and outside Nigeria. He also urged them to prioritise their safety while travelling to their respective orientation camps by avoiding night journeys and adhering strictly to travel advisories.
The announcement follows the successful completion of the 2026 Batch B Stream I orientation exercise held between June 10 and June 30 across most states. In Niger State, however, the exercise was rescheduled and conducted from July 7 to July 27 at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, after the state’s orientation camp sustained structural damage.

“He wishes them a safe journey to their respective Orientation Camps and strongly advises them to avoid travelling at night. The Director General also urges them to strictly adhere to all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journey to the camps,” the NYSC said.
