Naira Drops 0.96% Against Dollar At Spot FX Market

The Naira, on Thursday, September 22, maintained a downward slope to close at N313.07 against the Dollar, a 0.96 percent decline from N310.08 it was exchanged on Wednesday, September 21, at the Spot FX or interbank market.
The local currency had slid by 0.08 percent to close on Wednesday at N310.08 to the Dollar compared to a 0.84 percent decline recorded on Tuesday, when N309.83 was exchanged for one $US, at the spot FX market.

The naira  yesterday also weakened to N435/$US at the parallel market from N428 it sold for yesterday and remained stable to the Pound Sterling at N555 for the fourth consecutive day, but declined to the Euro to sell at N475 in contrast to Wednesday’s N470.

Meanwhile, official rates from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, put the Naira to Dollar rate on Thursday at N305.5 the Pounds Sterling sold at N399.4 while the Euro was exchanged for N343.4.
