The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Oyo/Osun Area Command, has raked in the sum of N11.2bn between January and September 2016.

The Customs Area Comptroller in charge of the Command, Mr Temitope Ogunkua, disclosed this in Ibadan on Tuesday, October 18.

Ogunkua, while speaking on the feats recorded by the command within the first three quarters of the year during which, said, the command also effected 188 assorted seizures with duty paid value of N368m.

The area comptroller said that the style of leadership of the comptroller-general which placed emphasis on welfare of officers and hard work motivates the field operatives to do more.

In 2016, a number of commands under the Nigeria Customs Service have reported significant growth in revenue alongside efforts to clampdown illegal activities which include smuggling in of contrabands.
