Lagos state government is set to launch a world-class bus terminal at Ikeja on Thursday, 29th of March 2018. President Mohammadu Buhari will be commissioning the terminal.
According to the state government, the bus terminal will grant Lagosians easy access to cheap and convenient means of transportation.
The bus terminal which is located behind the premises of the railway corporation opposite the Murtala Muhammed International Airport will connect 22 routes and over 60, 000 people are expected to transit through the facility daily There are also 13 similar bus terminals being constructed across the state.
Reports revealed that the terminal at Alapere, Ketu, and part of the state is scheduled for commissioning today, while the terminal at Tafa Balewa Square has also been completed and ready for commissioning.
The newly acquired buses by the Lagos state government will service the terminals. The state has also taken possession of over 5,000 of the new buses.
