“Nigeria’s Oil Production Capacity Hits All Time Low” – OPEC

A report from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, has stated that Nigeria’s oil production capacity has hit its lowest level following the attacks launched by Militants in the Niger Delta region

The Cartel, in its last month’s report, said Nigeria’s output crashed to levels not seen in over a decade as a result of the incessant facilities and pipeline vandalism.

OPEC said the country’s crude oil production for May averaged 1.4 million barrels per day, down 15 percent from the previous month.

It added that crude oil production averaged 1.8 million bpd during the fourth quarter of 2015.
