Naira Stays At All-time Low of N516/$ At Parallel Market

 

The Nigerian Naira, on Friday, February 17, remained at it’s record low sustained on Thursday at the parallel or black segment of the foreign exchange market trading at N516 against the U.S Dollar.

Sustaining its crashing streak, the local currency on Thursday, February 16 hit a record low of N516 against the greenback from the rate of N510 traded on Wednesday.

The Nigerian currency also remained at the rate of N630 against the British Pound sterling from N625 and against Euro at N538 from N535.

Meanwhile, at the official interbank or spot FX market, the naira remained steady trading at the rate of N305 against the greenback.

Also, at the spot FX market, the local currency exchanged at the rate of N382 against the Pound Sterling and at N325 against the European single currency, Euro.
