Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, on Wednesday, May 11, traded a total of 198.46 million shares worth N1.60 billion transacted in 3,538 deals.
This figure was in contrast to the 237.84 million shares valued at N1.36 billion exchanged in 3,885 deals on Tuesday, MAy 10.
The banking sub-sector remained the most active with FCMB Group emerging the most traded with an exchange of 25.67 million shares worth N27.11 million.
It was followed by GT Bank which accounted for 20.96 million shares valued at N381.54 million, while UBA sold 15.79 million Shares worth N53.99 million.
Wema Bank traded 14.41 million shares valued N10.59 million and Fidelity Bank exchanged 13.84 million shares worth N16.12 million.
