Atiku Holds Meeting with Southern/ Middle Belt Leaders

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday met with leaders of the Southern/Middle Belt Forum in Abuja.

The close-door meeting, which lasted for about an hour, took place at the Asokoro, Abuja residence of elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clarke.

Those who attended the meeting with Atiku include Middle Belt Leader, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman (rtd); Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo; Ohanaeze President, Chief John Nwodo; and Major-Gen. Zamani Lekwot (rtd).

The Forum had during the build up to the last general election openly declared support for Atiku’s candidature for presidency.
