NCC Assures Telecom Consumers of Protection

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has assured telecom consumers in the country that it will continue to do its best in protecting them against exploitation by service providers.

The assurance was given by the Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau in the Commission, Malam Abdullahi Maikano at the 36 edition of consumer town hall meeting held in Jalingo

He said the event was one of the initiatives to bring together telecom consumers in the rural areas with network operators and the regulators to discuss and proffer solutions to consumer related issues.

According to him the forum was to ensure that consumers and stakeholders were educated on contemporary issues generating interest in the industry and also serve as a feedback mechanism in making regulatory intervention for the benefit of the consumers as well as service providers.
