Feel like adding something new to your beauty collection? Whilst January has been a bit of a dud month for many reasons, the wealth of excellent new beauty products is one point not to be ignored. From Clinique’s clever new collaboration with Crayola to the perfect Dior nail polish to wear right now, these are the items to spend your first post-Christmas pay packet on. Vogue rounds up some of the best new launches below.
Clinique
In one of our favourite collaborations of recent years, Clinique has teamed up with Crayola to create limited-edition versions of the beauty brand’s famous Chubby Stick balms inspired by the classic crayons. We love Mango Tango, a zingy and fruity hue perfect for lips and cheeks.
Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. £17.50, available at www.clinique.co.uk.
Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle
Yes it’s a bit of a splurge purchase, but Frédéric Malle’s heavenly-smelling Iris Hand Cream is guaranteed to improve your day just a little bit every time you use it. A little (luckily) goes a long way, and the scent lingers beautifully.
Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle Iris Hand Cream. £55, available at www.fredericmalle.com.
Estée Lauder
Fans of Estée Lauder’s much-loved Advanced Night Repair serum will be pleased to hear that there’s a new member of the family – a luxurious Recovery Mask-In-Oil which creates a layer over your serum to lock in hydration. Also new from the range is the Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask, which we’re already addicted to.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Recovery Mask-In-Oil. £55, available at www.esteelauder.co.uk.
Dior
Usually spring nail collections are an array of soft pastels, but Dior’s includes the sultry teal Now – a perfectly pitched hue for the transition period between the seasons.
Dior Vernis Nail Polish in Now. £19.50, available at www.selfridges.com.
Byredo
Byredo’s Safran Candle first launched as a limited edition in 2014, and sold out almost immediately, but is now back as part of the permanent collection. With top notes of saffron and black pepper, a heart of leather, labdanum and violet, and base notes of patchouli, vanilla and amber, it’s the perfect scent for cosy days spent solely on the sofa.
Byredo Safran Candle. £50, available at www.libertylondon.com.
The Ordinary
The Ordinary only launched last autumn, but it has already made a name for itself by providing products that work for remarkably reasonable prices. The new High-Spreadability Fluid Primer is a pleasure to use, gliding on and creating a perfectly smooth surface for make-up. And, it’s £5.50.
The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer. £5.50, available at www.victoriahealth.com.
