Naira Rallies to N304.75/$ At Interbank Market

The Naira, on Friday, November 11, strengthened against dollar at the official interbank or Spot FX market, gaining N1.45 to close at Acc from N306.50 recorded on Thursday, November 10.
The local currency on the same day strengthened against the dollar across all the segments of the nation’s foreign exchange market.
At the parallel market, it exchanged at N455, from N460 recorded on Thursday, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N555 and N505, respectively.
At the Bureau De Change (BDC) window, naira exchanged at N385/400 to a dollar, Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, controlled rate, while the Pound Sterling and the Euro closed at N555 and N500, respectively.
According to traders at the market, activities were low as Thursday’s raid on the market by the operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had sparked suspicion among them.
