ABU Flags Off E-Learning MBA

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has flagged off an online MBA program where examinations can be written at designated centres in Lagos, Abuja and Zaria.

According to a statement issued by the Director of the Distance Learning Centre of the institution, Professor Adamu Zoaka Hassan, he said the program was designed to allow students to attend lectures without coming to the physical campus, while the working class need not quit their jobs as lectures would be available electronically on both the web platform and mobile devices that can work even offline to give the desired flexibility needed to study at the pace of the students.

“The admission process is also fully electronic and is done on the website from application to payments, to course registration, to lectures. You do not have to submit physical forms or cash, everything can be done digitally on the website – www.abudlc.edu.ng. This is the e-learning revolution where learning is brought to the comfort of the students,” he said.

They will also have access to an endless collection of books from the e-library.

He further disclosed that for students who would be interested in getting financial assistance, an arrangement had already been made with financial institutions on how to provide low interest education loan to them. However, the tuition costs would be paid upfront allowing a payment window of 3-6 months with an agreed interest rate.

He noted that arrangement had been concluded for internship opportunities for interested candidates in their second year, while the closing date for the form is September 27, 2016.
