Stock Exchange Closes Trading Week With N30bn Gain

Trading activities ended Friday in the red zone, as the stock market capitalisation declined, with ASI dropping by 1.37 percent.

The equity capitalisation stood at N20.08 trillion, a drop from Thursday’s N20.36 trillion.

The All-Share Index (ASI) was not spared, falling to 38,382.39, a decline from Thursday’s 38,914.84.

The volume of shares saw a steep drop from Thursday’s 1.46 billion to 290.61 million recorded on Friday.

Deals traded on the stock exchange floor stood at 4,311 against Thursday’s 4,040.

Share values also dropped to N4.01 billion from Thursday’s N5.85 billion.

IKEJAHOTEL: Opened at N1 to close at N1.1 kobo, up 10 percent.

ETERNA: Opened at N5.08 kobo to close at N5.58 kobo, up 9.84 percent.

UCAP: Opened at N4.75 kobo to close at N5.1 kobo, up 7.37 percent.

UBN: Opened at N5.05 kobo to close at N5.3 kobo, up 4.95 percent.

AFRIPRUD: Opened at N5.1 kobo to close at N5.35 kobo, up 4.90 percent.

Top Losers

LASACO: Opened at N1.3 kobo to close at N1.21 kobo, down 6.92 percent

BUACEMENT: Opened at N74.75 kobo to close at N69.95 kobo, down 6.42 percent.

NEIMETH: Opened at N1.9 kobo to close at N1.78 kobo, down 6.32 percent.

COURTVILLE: Opened at N0.21 kobo to close at N0.2 kobo, down 4.76 percent.

OANDO: Opened at N3.19 kobo to close at N3.05 kobo, down 4.39 percent.

Leading the activity chart was ZENITHBANK with 66.09 million shares with a value of N1.48 billion traded by investors.

Following was UNITYBNK with a share volume of 51.81 million with a value of N37.31 million.

GUARANTY follows with 39.38 million shares valued at N1.22 billion.

Others are AIICO with shares of 26.84 million worth N33.22 million and ACCESS with shares of 12.69 million worth N101.07 million.
