In the midst of a messy legal battle going on at the Nigerian Football Federation, the former coach the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh has moved on.
After a contentious stint as coach of the Super Eagles, Oliseh resigned from the position earlier this year.
He has been appointed as member of the Federation of International Football Association’s (FIFA) Technical Study Group (TSG).
He tweeted that, “Honoured to be appointed into the “new look” FIFA Technical Department. Next mission; The 2016 Rio Olympics Football.”
Currently headed by an ex-Swiss international, Jean-Paul Brigger, the TSG’s goal would be to observe teams in matches and training sessions and collect information, reports of which are made available to FIFA member associations afterwards as a development tool.
Though, Oliseh did not reveal details of his appointment, his first task as a member of TSG would be at the 2016 Rio Olympics football events.
This was the second time he would be appointed as a member of the TSG.
