Etisalat Nigeria said it further boosted support for small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria with its sponsorship of another session of Market Access Forum in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Market Access Forum is a quarterly business networking and empowerment session for Small and Medium scale Enterprises, organised by the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos in partnership with Etisalat Nigeria.
Speaking at the event recently, Head, Enterprise Marketing, Etisalat Nigeria, Chinelo Mbanefo, reiterated the company’s continued support for startup and growing businesses in Nigeria through innovative solutions that will stimulate the growth of the sector.
“Being the best SME friendly telecommunications network, Etisalat has been consistent in implementing innovative solutions that stimulate the growth of SMEs in Nigeria.”
“This is because we recognise the significant role of SMEs as a focal point and major enabler of the Nigerian economy,” she said.
Mbanefo added that the Market Access initiative is one of the platforms through which Etisalat supports Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) in Nigeria.
“We have recorded tremendous success since inception of the programme. Market Access has aided many Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in networking and developing productive business relationships with larger organisations,” she stated.
Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Austin Tam-George commended Etisalat and the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan Atlantic University for organising the Market Access Forum.
He said: “This forum no doubt, is a good platform for SMEs to network and get necessary information that will foster their growth, and ultimately impact the growth and development of the Nigerian economy.”
Tam-George urged owners of SMEs to take advantage of the unique opportunity being offered them to network and share experience with bigger businesses.
