The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has emerged winner of the presidential election in Benue State.
The result as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer Prof. Sabastine Maimako, in Makurdi showed that President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 347,668 vote, while Atiku scored 355,255 votes.
Total vote cast was 761,780, while valid votes was 727,347
Total Number of Registered voters: 2,391,276
Total Number of Accredited voters: 786,069
APC won in 10 LGAs, while PDP won 13 LGAs
