The Nigerian Naira, on Friday, August 18, closed flat at the parallel segment of the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market.
The local currency at the close of market for last week exchanged at the rate of N368 against the United States of America Dollar at the Black Market.
Against the British Pound Sterling, the Nigerian currency traded at the rate of N478 and exchanged at the rate of N432 against the European Single Currency, Euro.
At the Official Interbank or Spot FX segment of the nation’s forex market, the Naira exchanged against the Greenback at the rate of N305.65.
The Naira traded at the rate of N393.43 against the British Pound Sterling at the interbank market and closed at the rate of N357.45 against the Euro.
The local currency has continued to fluctuate at the currncy market even as the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, continues to inject money into the forex market as part of its strategy to ease help the Naira maintain stability against its peers.
