The Bank of Industry (BoI), in its effort to support small scale entrepreneurs in the country, has introduced a soft loan window termed Marketmoni through which market women and traders including the artisans, enterprising youths and small scale farmers as well as agriculture workers nationwide could get little amount of money ranging from N10, 000 to N100, 000 to upgrade their businesses.
Speaking at the on- going Lagos International Trade Fair in Lagos, the managing director of the bank, Mr Waheed Olagunju, who was represented by the bank’s Group Head, Treasury, Taye Emagha explained that the bank’s plans towards empowering women, prompted the introduction of the loan window.
Besides, he argued that since the main objective of the bank is to create avenue with which jobs can be created.
