Naira Down by 0.20% Against Dollar at Spot FX Market

The Nigerian currency, Naira, crashed by 0.20% to the Dollar, on Thursday, September 15, to close at N306.93 compared to a leap of 1.39% recorded on Wednesday, September 14, when it traded at N306.33 at the interbank or spot FX market.

The Naira had jumped by 1.39% to the Dollar, on Wednesday, September 14, to close at N306.33 compared to a plunge of 0.86% recorded on Friday, September 9, when the Dollar traded at N310.64 at the interbank market or Spot FX market.

However, the naira also declined yesterday at the parallel market as N423 was exchanged for one Dollar from N422 it exchanged for on Wednesday.

At the parallel market also, N555 was exchanged for one Pounds Sterling against N545, while the Euro was exchanged for N465 stronger than N467 it was sold for previously.

Meanwhile, at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN N305 was exchanged for one US dollar compared to N305.5 it was exchanged for previously, one Pounds Sterling was exchanged for N402.8 and one Euro traded at N343.2.
