Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, ended in the North on Friday, May 13, as the bull sentiments took control of the last trading day of the week.
The All-Share Index hit new high, soaring by 2.88 per cent to close the week at 26,441.03 trillion.Similarly, the market capitalization scooped 2.92per, closing the week at N9.099 trillion,
Fifty-four equities appreciated in price during the week, higher than the 40 equities of the previous week, while 17 equities depreciated as against the 25 equities of the previous week.
However, 118 equities remained unchanged, lower than the 124 equities of the previous week.
All other indices finished higher during the week, with the exception of the NSE Industrial Goods Index that declined by 1.15 per cent .
