According to data from the Nigerian Ports Authority 10 vessels laden with premium motor spirit (PMS) popularly known as fuel are expected to berth at Lagos Ports.
These vessels are out of a total of 41 vessels expected to call at the seaports in Lagos from now till May 19, 2016.
The 10 vessels billed to arrive the various jetties in Apapa, Lagos, including the Petroleum Wharf Apapa (PWA), Single Buoy Moore (SBM) and the Atlas Cove Jetty (ACJ), among others, are laden with a total of 259,722 metric tonnes (mt) of fuel, indicating a possible further relax of the current scarcity of the product.
According to a Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, document, Shipping Position, released on Tuesday, April 26, 17 of the vessels are laden with containerized goods, most of which are billed to be received at the APM Terminals, while only two are carrying general cargoes.
The document also showed that three vessels would be arriving the ports with bulk wheat, while two more are laden with 14,000MT of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) popularly known as diesel. Other vessels are bringing in bulk sugar, base oil and ethanol.
