Naira Drops 0.19% at Spot FX Market

The Naira weakened at the Interbank or Spot FX market shedding 0.19 percent to close at N308.37 to one US dollar at the on Monday, September 26.
This fall is in contrast to the 1.69 percent gained last Friday, September 23, when the Nigerian Currency traded at N307.79 to one US dollar.

Official rates from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, put the Naira dollar rate today at N305. The Pounds Sterling sold at N394.4 compared to N395.4 it sold for on Friday while the Euro was exchanged for N343.6 in contrast to N342.1 exchanged previously.

The local currency further slid to N446 against the Dollar at the parallel market, compared to last Friday’s selling price of N442. The Naira/Pounds Sterling rate also weakened to N564 to one Pound from N560 as at Friday, while the Euro was sold at N490 compared to previous rate of N475.
