Financial Red Flags To Watch Out For

Financial Red Flags To Watch Out For
BizWatch Nigeria held its monthly social media conversation on July 20, 2023. The session was moderated by Adepeju Aina and the speaker included: Olaotan Fawehinmi and The Kolades (Lanre and Jenifer Kolade).

It’s called a ‘red flag’ because the colour ‘red’ is not something you can miss. There’s a reason why the colour has a spot on a traffic light. Red means ‘stop’.

According to Readers Digest “Red is the color with the longest wavelength; that means that as it travels through air molecules, it gets diffused less than other colors, so it can be seen from a greater distance”.

In other words, red can be seen from any distance. Now tell me why you did not see the red flag in that brother or sister or did you choose to ignore it?

Red flag could be a bad habit, a deal breaker, something that should not be ignored, something that should be addressed or worked on. In relationships there are red flags, it differs for different people but at the end of the day it is still called a ‘red flag’.

When it comes to your finances and that of your partner’s what colour is the flag? Is it red (danger), yellow (just there) or green (we’re very good). Have you and your partner discussed your finances?

Financial red flags were discussed during BizWatch Nigeria’s (BWN) social media conversation which held on July 20, 2023 at 7 pm WAT via Instagram and Twitter.

The session tagged “Financial Red Flags in Relationships: Warning Signs To Watch Out For” analyzed financial issues/red flags and the warning signs.
