The Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung has set up a committee to investigate the circumstances around the alleged disappearance of $150,000 grant, which the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) sent to the Athletics Federations of Nigeria (AFN).
IAAF reportedly paid the amount as part of its $15,000 annual grants to member federations for the year 2017. However, the AFN erroneously received $150,000.
Inquiries made revealed that the IAAF accountants later noticed the mistake and requested a refund of the excess payment. But nobody in the federation seems to be aware of what has become of the money.
