Equity transactions at the Nigerian Stock Market,on Thursday, October 20, reversing the three-day negative trend as the market capitalisation leaped by N41 billion.
Market capitalisation of the bourse surged by N41 billion or 0.43 per cent to close at N9.479 trillion against N9.438 trillion achieved on Wednesday.
The market capitalisation recorded a growth of N41.3 billion to close at N9.479 trillion compared to a loss of N27 billion, as the year to date losses declined to -3.64 percent.
The three most active stocks were led by Guaranty that sold 17.1 million shares worth N426.5 million, Zenith Bank Plc followed with the sale of 10.5 million shares valued at N157.6 million while Transcorp Plc sold 10.1 million shares costing N9.8 million.
In all, a total of 111.89 million shares worth N4.01 billion were traded by investors in 2,699 deals, against the 81.91 million shares valued at N592.52 million exchanged by investors in 2,520 deals on Wednesday.
