The Airtel Trace Music Star Nigeria competition came to an end as Ehieduonye “Edu” Ezehike emerged as the country’s winner. The top 5 finalists slugged it out in front of an audience at the Hard Rock Café as they battled for the honour of representing Nigeria at the Continental finals of Airtel TRACE Music Star to be held in Lagos on June 11.
Ehieduonye Ezehike who hails from Delta State came out tops after performing:Lemar’s If there’s any Justice. Ezehike who is an amateur singer with experience in songwriting said, “I wanted this so bad, but I still cannot believe that I actually won.
Ezehike who was selected by the panel which comprised: ace Broadcaster, Olisa Adibua; stellar songstress, Lara Goerge and the king of indigenous Rap, Phyno, stated that he would spend the next few weeks honing his vocal skills and techniques and also improving his stage presence ahead of the Pan-African Finale in Lagos.
As the winner,he goes home with the prize of 5,000,000 naira and will compete against nine other contestants from across Africa to win the coveted Airtel TRACE Music Star 2016 prize.
