Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Masari on International Relations and Direct Foreign Investment, Ibrahim Zakari Ibrahim has revealed that over $500million worth of investments have so far been attracted to Katsina State.

Speaking of the ongoing Economic and Investment Summit, Ibrahim said Katsina’s economy would soon witness tremendous changes.

He said, “Through my personal contacts, I was able to attract investors from Canada, Malaysia,China, India, England and USA who are targetting jobs in agriculture and mining sectors.”

“More than any thing else, this summit will help in job creation for not just Katsina State but the nation as a whole. It will help create jobs and bring opportunities,” he added.

He said the decision by the state government to provide conducive environment for the investors is all that is needed to drive investment into the state.

“All that is needed is the support of government and interestingly, Governor Masari has pledged to provide all the necessary incentives including five year tax holiday”.
