Super Eagles Maintain Position In Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria maintains the status quo at the 67th position in the latest FIFA men football rankings for the month of May, released today in Zurich, Switzerland.

The three-time African champions were awarded the same rank in the world according to the ranking released in April 2016.

The Super Eagles remain the 14th best team in African behind Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Congo DR, Guinea, Congo, Cameroon, Morocco and Mali.

There is no major change in the rankings this month as the top 53 countries remain unchanged, with Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia and Germany maintaining the top five spots.

In the same vein, on the African continent, the top 28 countries maintained their positions both at the world and continental level, with Algeria in the first position in Africa and 33rd in the world, while African Champions Cote d’Ivoire are second in Africa and ranked 34th in the world.
