States and Local Governments Share N2.8trillion from Federation Account in One Year

    The 36 states and the 774 local government councils in the nation split a total ofN2.8 trillion from the Federation Account in the last one year.

    A report by the Economic Confidential, an intelligence economic magazine, revealed this.

    The report breaks down the receipt by some of the states as follows: Lagos state (N178b) Akwa Ibom (N173b), Delta State (N144b) Kano State (N117b).

    Bayelsa State (N95b) ; Katsina State (N88b) Oyo State (N84b), Kaduna State (N83b) and Borno State (N78b).

    Others are Gombe (N49b), Ebonyi States (N49b), Ekiti (N50b)and Nasarawa State (N50b) n and Kwara (N52b). Edo (N66b),Ondo (N71b) Cross River State (N59b).
