Nigeria Expends $500million Monthly on Importation of Consumables

Nigerians expends over $500 million monthly on the importation of consumable goods from various parts of the world, the President of Business Club Ikeja,BIC, Dr Rotimi Oladele, revealed.

The BIC Boss, who disclosed this over the weekend, in his opening remarks at the club’s business luncheon in Lagos, bemoaned the development, calling on Nigerians and foreign investors to patronize locally manufactured products so as to contribute to the growth of the nation’s economy.

The guest speaker at the luncheon, Mr Suh Kyoul, who is the Commercial Attaché to the Republic of South Korea, also advised interested businessmen and investors to tap into the great opportunities in Korea and expand trade and economic relationship between Nigeria and Korea.
