Ministries,Department and Agencies to Share N280billion for Capital Projects

The Federal Government has stated that about 60 ministries, departments and agencies, MDAs, would share the sum of N280 billion released for the implementation of capital projects captured in the 2016 budget.
The Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed,who revealed this at a workshop for the review and implementation of the 2016 budget in Abuja on Tuesday, said the fund would be used to execute specific projects. said the names of 60 ministries, departments and agencies have been sent to the Federal Ministry of Finance for approval.

Ahmed listed ministries of works, housing, power, agriculture, interior, education, information and environment among the MDAs that would benefit from the first batch.

The minister  added that another batch of 30 MDAs for which the screening process had been concluded would be sent to the finance ministry.
