Popular Nigerian singer David Adeleke a.k.a Davido stirred interesting and hilarious comments on Twitter after he disclosed that he has enrolled for the compulsory National Youth Service Corps Scheme.
In his post he said he was ” .. tying up every loose end!’, in responding to the clarion call to serve the nation.
The NYSC started in 1973 and is compulsory for all Nigerian youths below 30 years, who graduated from local and international universities, colleges of education and polytechnics.
Some of the photographs of Davido in circulation show the ‘boyish singer’ at an orientation camp.

I would like to commend @iam_Davido for registering to undertake the NYSC in accordance with the law. Despite what many young people feel, the NYSC scheme is based on lofty ideals of nation-building. Perhaps the only scheme that has survived both military and civilian regimes.
