Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has received the 2016 European Society for Quality Research Award for Best Practices in regulation from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).
This European Award for Best Practices is coming less than two weeks after the Commission received the 2016 “Africa Telecom Regulator of the Year Award” at the Africa Information Technology and Telecom Awards in Ghana.
The Nigeria’s telecom regulator received the international award in Brussels, Belgium at an event that had sixty-three countries in attendance.
Receiving the award on behalf of the executive vice-chairman of the commission, Mr. Tony Ojobo, director of Public Affairs, said the recognition bestowed on NCC speaks volumes, in spite of all the regulatory challenges.
He congratulated the EVC, Prof. Umar Danbatta and all the hard working professionals at the commission.
The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) recognizes and highlights outstanding business results, best practices, quality awareness and achievements by companies in regional and global markets.
The ESQR Awards recognize organizations’ distinctive performance improvement, organizational excellence, customer focus and encourage them to share their best practices experience and knowledge with other organizations.
