The Naira crashed by 1.23% against the Dollar on Monday, August 29, to close at N318.93 compared with 0.60% gained last Friday to close at N314.95 at the spot FX or interbank market.
Exchange rates from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the Naira remained flat to the Dollar, selling at N305.5 compared to Friday’s exchange rate of N305 .
The Pounds Sterling was sold for N399.2 in contrast to Friday’s N403, while N341.3 was exchanged for one Euro compared with N344.6 it was exchanged for on Friday.
Also at the parallel market, the Nigerian currency remained weakened to the Dollar, Pounds and Euro to sell at N412 against the Dollar same as last Friday.
The Naira exchanged for one Pounds Sterling at N535 compared to previous selling rate of N530 and N460 was exchanged for one Euro in contrast to N452 it was exchanged for on Friday.
