FG Launches N2.7bn Road Project In Osun

The Deputy Speaker Of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Lasun Yussuf has launched the construction of the 57kilometer road by in Osun State.

The N2.7billion road project that forms part of the Irepodun/Orolu/Osogbo/Olorunda federal constituency project of the deputy speaker financed by the federal government, also include the reconstruction of the over 100 years old Ojutu Bridge.

 Yusuf, who is representing Irepodun/Orolu/Osogbo/Olorunda federal constituency, affirmed that the project was part of his constituency project with the assurance that the project will not suffer neglect.

According to him, the federal government has mobilised the contractor saying that the project would not only open up commercial activities in the areas but serve as link route between the South West and the North.

Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Deputy Speaker, Basorun Rotimi Bidmus added that construction of two mini-dams and building of 50- bed medical centre each in Osogbo and Olorunda local governments areas of the state are also parts of the expected projects to be executed by the lawmaker.

He said the construction of the medical centres would gulp N400 million while that of the mini dams would cost N100 million, adding that classrooms will also be built in five schools within the constituency.
