Yusuf to Earn N60million Yearly As Eagles Coach

According to feelers from the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Salisu Yusuf will  sign a contract as Nigeria chief coach,this week in Abuja, which will pay earn him 5million Naira monthly.

The coach was expected to have signed his contract before the AFCON qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo this weekend, but top officials were overseas on official duties around that time.

However, an official, who craved anonymity said: “The NFF president has said he should be in Abuja this week to sign his contract,”Vanguard reports.

The former Kano Pillars and Enyimba coach, apart from assisting Rohr, will also be in charge of the home-based Eagles. He was on two million Naira every month when he assisted late Stephen Keshi and Sunday Oliseh.

Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr is on $47,000 a month, which is more than thrice what Yusuf will earn. Rohr has signed a two-year contract, which is being bankrolled by a mystery sponsor.

He has handpicked three personal assistants to be part of the Eagles backroom staff and they were part of Saturday’s match against Tanzania.
