The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has called off its planned strike in response to a nationwide shortage of naira notes.
BizWatch Nigeria recalls that NLC had planned to launch a nationwide indefinite strike on March 29, 2023 and picket the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) offices across the country in protest of the cash crunch, which had caused untold hardships for Nigerians and businesses.
At the conclusion of its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting this afternoon, NLC leaders gave the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, two weeks to normalize the country’s money supply.
