The Southward Movement at the Nigerian Stock Market saw Market Capitalization shedding N52 billion to close 0.59 per cent lower at N8.794 trillion on Thursday, May 5.
Nestlé Nigeria Plc led the list of 41 gainers with N10 increase in its share price to close at N690, Forte Oil Plc followed with N9.48 kobo to close at N199.48 kobo and Total Nigeria Plc with N0.97 kobo to close at N157 per share.
On the other hand, Nigerian Breweries Plc topped the losers’ chart by losing N6.68 kobo and closed at N115.32 kobo per share, while WAPCO Nigerian Plc and Dangote Cement Plc lost N1.5 kobo and N1.00kobo, to close at N71.50 kobo and N168, respectively.
At the end of trading, a total of 178.9 million shares worth N1.5 billion were exchanged in 3,786 deals.
