The naira dropped to N435/$US on Thursday, September 22, at the parallel market from N428 it sold for on Wednesday, September 21.
Naira had dropped to N428/$US on Wednesday, at the parallel market from N424 which it exchanged for on Tuesday, September 20.
The Nigerian currency, however remained stable to the Pound Sterling at N555 for the fourth consecutive day, but plunged to the Euro to sell at N475 in contrast to Wednesday’s N470.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria , CBN, official rates showed that the Naira to Dollar exchange rate for Thursday was at N305.5 the Pounds Sterling sold at N399.4 while the Euro was exchanged for N343.4.
Also, the Nigerian currency continued a decline yesterday to close at N313.07 against the Dollar, a 0.96 percent decline from N310.08 it was exchanged on Wednesday at the interbank market.
