The Murtala Mohammad International Airport, MMIA, command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has raked in N18, 553, 756,359 between January and May, 2016.
According to the Area Controller, Frank Nduka Allannah, the amount generated was N1.7bn in excess of the target given to the command.
The Command Controller who revealed this to newsmen at the airport, said the command had consistently met its target on monthly basis despite a sharp drop in importation and a 30 per cent reduction in cargo import.
He said the command achieved its feat owing to structural reforms put in place and the commitment of officers which has ensured quick facilitation.
