Foreign Reserves Shrink to $26.51billion in May

The persistent volatility in different segments of the nation’s economy has seen external reserves plunging uncontrollably.

The reserves consistently depleted in the past months dropping a total of $2.45 million or 8.46 per cent since the beginning of 2016.

As at January 4, 2016, the reserves stood at $28.957 billion but had consistently trended downwards to $26.51 billion as at Monday, May 23, 2016.
