Equities trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, on Wednesday, May 18,resumed an upward trajectory recovering N19 billion.
Following the positive run, the market capitalization ended up closing at N9.192 trillion as against N9.174 trillion it closed after shedding N56 billion previously.
The Nigerian Breweries Plc led 29 other stocks on the gainers’ list with N2.48 kobo to close at N127.7 kobo per share while on the other hand, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, with N4 depreciation in its share price closed at N141 per share to lead 22 other declined stocks.
In terms of market turnover, the session saw 670.803 million shares valued at N2.057 billion traded in 3,976 deals as against 396.03 million units of share worth N2.658 million that exchanged hands in 5,514 transactions previously on Tuesday.
