Seplat Petroleum Plc led the day’s 27 advancing stocks with a growth of 10.25 percent or N25.11 to close at N270.11 per share, Forte Oil Plc followed with a gain of 5 percent or N8.10 to close at N170.80 per share, Wema Bank Plc improved by 4.92 percent or 3 kobo to close at 64 kobo per share. Transcorp Plc gained 4.42 percent or 5 kobo to close at N1.18 per share and Ikeja Hotel Plc appreciated by 4.09 percent or 7 kobo to close at NN1.78 per share.
Unity Bank Plc led the days retreating stocks having dropped by 8.79 percent or 8 kobo to close at 83 kobo per share, Academy Plc lost 4.76 percent or 3 kobo to close at 60 kobo per share, Continental Reinsurance Plc fell 4.08 percent or 4 kobo to close at 94 kobo per share, Cutix Plc declined by 4.07 percent or 7 kobo to settle at N1.65 per share, and Airservice Plc depreciated by 3.65 percent or 8 kobo to close at N2.11 per share.
The top three traded stocks were: Guaranty Trust Bank Plc with the sale of 50.7 million shares worth N1.3 billion, Fidelity Bank Plc followed with the trade 20.1 million stocks valued at N20.3 million and FBN Holdings Plc exchanged 17 million shares worth N53.4 million.
