Kogi To Flag Off N25bn Trust Fund Soon

The Kogi State government has disclosed its plan to launch N25billion Special Trust Fund to take care of the poor and the vulnerable in the state.

The state commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Awal Mohammed said that the Special Trust Fund is to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the state’s creation. He reiterated the present administration’s commitment to take adequate care of the less privileged in the society.

“Both the rich, the poor and the physically challenged in the state will be given equal opportunities by the government of the day. We are also committed as a government to carry everybody along irrespective of status, tribe, religion and political differences,” he said.

Mohammed further stated that government is fully prepared to ensure the successful celebration of Kogi at 25 pointing out that government would use the celebration to launch over 200 Patrol Vehicles purchased for onward distribution to various security agencies to tackle the rising cases of insecurity across the state.

He described the ceremony as very historic will kick off with the unveiling of the state Logo and visitation to orphanage homes on Thursday, August 25, while the Islamic prayer for the progress of the state will follow on Friday, 26th of this month.
