Sure Klothing Expresses Desire To Put Nigerian Fashion Industry On Global Stage

Oluwaseyi Richie, the visionary behind Sure Klothing, has expressed his desire to put the Nigerian fashion industry on a global stage.

In an interview where he made this known, Richie said the Nigerian fashion industry has untapped potential and talents that will take the world by storm.

Sure Klothing is a fashion brand that showcases Richie’s passion for fashion and his desire to create garments that perfectly embody his personal style. Richie started by making male shirts during his university days, gradually expanding his collection as the demand for his designs grew.

“It is true that I have a strong passion for fashion, and as I continue to grow, I got to a point that I realised that it’s either it or nothing.  Then, I decided that I would rather spend the rest of my life doing fashion or doing nothing. So, I simply turned my hobby to business.” He said.

Talking about the challenges faced by sure Klothing he said, “The fashion industry is highly competitive, so to make a statement requires dedication and hard work. Another challenge would be the pure difficulty in finding highly efficient workers, who have the same passion or work drive as you do. I also think another challenge is the ability for people to accept your brand and pay you accordingly. Bigger brands are out there, so you’ve got to do better to be paid better”.

When asked about his proud moment he mentioned “Yes, there are many that I could recall, but there is one I always like to talk about. It was the moment I watched a music performer putting on a Jacket I made, on TV. It was the best moment of my life, especially as a young fashion designer.

“Access to finance has been a challenge faced by most fashion designers in Nigeria. In fact, it’s almost impossible to secure credit facilities to set up or operate your business. So, I will love to change that by making funds in the form of loans and grants available for every young fashion designer out there.”
